What are your performance times?
Forté|Beat's standard performance times for weddings are 8pm-12am with a 25-30 minute break to coincide with your buffet or tea/coffee break. The band also offer a DJ service for after midnight if you have a later licence at your venue. For corporate or charity bookings please contact us to discuss your requirements.
How long does it take the band to set up?
It takes the band under an hour to set up and soundcheck the equipment and get changed into our stagewear. This hour starts from the point the band gains access to the stage. We will always aim to arrive at your venue 90mins prior to the agreed performance time. In the unlikely event that any problems do arise, we will alert you or your event coordinator.
What kind of music do you play?
Forté|Beat covers a wide variety of styles right through to current chart hits and a choice selection of Scottish Country Dances (with the steps called so everyone can join in). Having the benefit of both male and female lead vocals allow for a more varied selection of song on the evening. Have a listen to some of our live recordings on the Media page.
How much do you charge?
If you fill out our online enquiry form or contact Steve on T: 07799 545 651 he will be more than happy to provide a quote for the evening based on your requirements.
How do we make payment?
Once you have decided Fortebeat are the band for you, Steve will organise a 1-1 meeting to go over your day in more detail, fill out your contract and pay £300 or £500 deposit in cash. The remaining cash will be paid on the day. Your contract will be signed & dated by Steve and can be used as a receipt.
Do I need to provide anything for the band?
It is important to check with your venue in advance of making a booking to ensure there will be enough space for a live band to set up and perform, and also if the venue has a sound limiter on-site, these things can determine if it's possible for us to provide you with entertainment on the evening. The majority of venues will have this information on hand.
first dance(s) and final song.
Please let us know your 1st dance(s) so that we can organise it for the big day.
We always play these from our laptop so there's no pressure to choose one right away. We always play loch lomond as a standard finish but this can be changed if it doesn't suit. We also play this at roughly 11:30pm just in case there are a few guests that need to leave a bit early and then the band continues on till 12am.
If you need clarification on any of these things
